Scott Williams is London’s leading Meisner technique teacher and Artistic Director of The Impulse Company in the UK.
 
American-born, Scott trained with the legendary William Ball of the American Conservatory Theatre and subsequently with Sanford Meisner himself at New York’s Neighbourhood Playhouse in the 1970s. After moving to London, Scott founded The Impulse Company, and started teaching a combination of the best practices of Meisner and Ball. Scott has continued his multi-dimensional approach to acting training and directing across the continents, with over 40 years of experience teaching this work globally.

Scott’s workshops are designed to empower and deepen the work of today’s actor, and transform everything you thought you knew about acting technique.

The Meisner Technique essentially trains you to live truthfully, moment to moment in a state of aliveness. What actor doesn't want to be able to call on that with ease and freedom?
