ONGOING TEEN CAMERA CLASS

Acting Mastery Teens: Acting On Camera is a 5 week Ongoing Camera Class for teen actors (13-17yrs) looking to start their acting journey early, to gain confidence and skills in acting and to leave them feeling more empowered, free and fully self-expressed as young people.

Each week, actors will work on a scene with which they will learn and utilise a broad range of acting tools, techniques and script analysis, drawn from a wide variety of approaches, designed to make them the most well-rounded actor they can be either in front of the camera or an audience.
Actors will leave with more ability to be authentic, free, committed, present, open and powerful.

Tuesday afternoons - 5 week term

DATES: 30th April - 28th May
TIME: 5pm - 7pm
COST: $300 + GST

LANEIKKA DENNE

ACTING TEACHER

Laneikka is a queer writer and actor from Western Sydney. At seventeen, Laneikka wrote DEAD SKIN, winner of SA State Theatre Company’s Young Playwrights Award, performed in Sydney and LA, published by Australian Plays. Laneikka’s second play FEMINAZI premiered as part of Belvoir Theatre’s Sydney World Pride Programming in 2023.

Laneikka created THE MONOLOGUE COLLECTIVE where teenagers write monologues for teenagers to perform for the HSC to sold-out seasons and was nominated for Best Production for Young People at the Sydney Theatre Awards 2023.

As an actor, Laneikka is leading two feature films; PUZZLE BOX, a horror feature and SALT ALONG THE TONGUE, a psychological thriller for distribution with Umbrella Productions in 2024/2025. Laneikka was the recipient of the Diversity Entertainment Creative Mentorship 2022, where they performed their play DEAD SKIN in LA, to be developed into a feature film adaption of the play. Laneikka's documentary “The Real Meaning of Pleasure” has been awarded development funding from Screen Australia and AIDC in 2023.

As a teacher and coach, Laneikka loves to nurture young talent, and create a safe space for others to explore and grow as individuals both in front of camera and within scene study work. She loves channeling emotion and mindset to the forefront of her work, and combined with giving out her own industry learnings and knowledge, is excited to collaborate with talent in this industry

LARISSA CALARCO

ACTING TEACHER

Larissa is an actor, singer, and musician who was fortunate enough to have begun performing professionally from a young age. Having trained at various respected schools since the age of 4, Larissa has worked on TVCs, short films, TV, and in music videos, gaining experience both on stage and in front of the camera.

After studying Science for almost a decade and graduating with her PhD, Larissa has returned to the arts to pursue all things performing. Larissa has had the privilege of being mentored, trained, and guided by Ben Mathews for the past 3 years, and consistently trains with the industry’s leading professionals, always eager to grow and learn.

Larissa is incredibly passionate about contributing to the creative and professional development of artists, and is dedicated to helping creatives find a safe, supportive space to train, be mentored and guided, work on their craft and a healthy mindset, and meet like-minded individuals.

ACTING MASTERY KIDS!

We are so excited to announce our first term of Kids Camera Classes this April!

Our Kids Camera Class is a 5 week Ongoing series for young actors aged 7-12yrs, looking to start their acting journey early, to gain confidence and skills in acting, performance, and speech, and to leave them feeling more empowered, free, and fully self-expressed as young creatives.

Each week, actors will work on a short scene with which they will learn and utilise simple and effective acting tools and techniques, to get comfortable in front of the camera, collaborate with fellow young actors, explore and unleash their creativity, and above all else - HAVE FUN!

DATES: Monday afternoons
TIME: 5pm - 7pm
