Acting Mastery is incredibly excited to host U.S. Casting Director, David Rapaport, in an exclusive 1 day Casting Workshop!

David Rapaport is one of Hollywood's most sought out Casting Directors, having cast such hits as "Gossip Girl,” "Riverdale,” "The Flash,” "YOU” and "The Summer I Turned Pretty”. After attending Emerson College, David moved to LA and started to work with legendary Casting Director Mali Finn (Titanic, LA Confidential, 8 Mile). Together, they collaborated on multiple films including The Matrix Reloaded, 8 Mile, Running with Scissors and Elephant.

David started his long-lasting relationship with Warner Bros. and CW on the original "Gossip Girl" (2007) and has since continued collaborating with Warner Bros. and uber producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter on series such as "Arrow", "Supergirl", "The Flash", "Katy Keen", "DC's Legends of Tomorrow", "Superman and Lois", "Batwoman", "Gotham Knights" and the forthcoming streaming series "Dead Boy Detectives". Along with his co-Casting Director, Lyndsey Baldasare, CSA, at Amazon, he cast the breakout hit "The Summer I Turned Pretty". He's also cast several shows for HBO Max, including; "Titans", "Doom Patrol", "Equal", and the "Pretty Little Liars" reboot "Original Sin". At Netflix, David cast such hits as "YOU", "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina", and recent hit "XO, Kitty"

David has been lauded for his support of underrepresented communities and was proud to cast TV's first LGBTQ+ superhero and TVs first trans superhero. He's been featured in articles in Entertainment Weekly, The Advocate, The Boston Globe and Buzzfeed, and he has appeared on Entertainment Tonight and various podcasts. He's a proud Heller Award Winner, having won TV Casting Director twice, in 2012 and 2019.
